When I was 18 I went to the Soviet Union (1978). The only well stocked shops were the Party propoganda ones and I bought around 20 posters. They adorned my rooms at Uni alongside Bobby, Trevor and Billy. Most got nicked or eventually disintegrated though I found one just the other day that i had accidentally preserved.

Loads of Porsche's, Lambo's, and Ferrari's. A few of my fave West Ham squad photo's and other memorabilia. A few player posters from Match.
But my favourite was a life-size poster of Arnie in Commando on my bedroom door. That stopped 'em.

I had Athena's classic Countach/Testarossa/boring Porsche poster. A rolling gallery of West Ham posters from Hammers News and a couple of my own drawings (Jack Nicholson's "here's Johnny" pose and Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper). And a Houston Oilers license plate.

Never had a single poster on my wall as a kid for some reason, as guess I never hero worshipped anyone and never have.
I do however have that Dali picture on my wall now!! :o)

The one that sticks out most in my memory was a poster of Alan Shearer from Euro 96, badly graffitied. I was going for a sort of Clockwork Orange scene-vibe.

Only one I can half-remember was of a Dali painting with thin-legged elephants.
I know this was a recurring theme with him, so there are several candidates for the painting, but I can't remember more precisely.
